4 cups chopped apples
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup, divided
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Combine apples, 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon in an 8×8 baking dish; set aside.
3. In another bowl, combine oats, 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon; mix well.
4. Top apple mixture with oat mixture. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until apples are soft.
